Samsung’s next mid-range offering is expected to be the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G, which should hit the global market in the coming weeks. After being spotted on Geekbench and China’s 3C, the device has now been spotted on Bluetooth SIG and TUV Rheinland certifications.

The Samsung Galaxy A55 could be getting closer to launch as its specifications and renders have surfaced online. The upcoming Galaxy A series smartphone is expected to come with a 6.5-inch flat screen. The renders suggest that the Galaxy A55 will have a hole-punch display. 

It is also seen to carry triple rear cameras. The phone is expected to be powered by the Exynos 1480 SoC. The Galaxy A55 will debut as the successor to the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G that was launched in India in March this year.

In collaboration with MySmartPrice, tipster Steve H.McFly (@OnLeaks) shared alleged renders and specifications of the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G. The renders show a display with a centrally-placed punch-hole cutout that houses the selfie camera. The smartphone is seen in a black shade with a triple camera setup on the back. The phone doesn’t appear to have a camera island, as the sensors are arranged in small individual circular modules. The camera sensors are placed vertically with a small LED flash next to them. Furthermore, the power button and volume rockers can be seen on the protruding part of the right edge.

The Bluetooth SIG certification reveals that the device will come with Bluetooth 5.3, while the Rheinland listing reiterates that the device will come with a 9V DC adapter supporting 2.77A output. This means the phone will support 25W charging, as confirmed in the 3C listing previously.

  • Display: The Galaxy A55 may feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
  • Processor: The smartphone will reportedly be powered by a new proprietary Exynos 1480 chipset paired with an AMD GPU.
  • RAM and Storage: It is tipped to pack 8GB of RAM with 128GB and 256GB storage options.
  • Cameras: The Galaxy A55 could feature a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 5MP macro camera. It could have a 32MP front camera for selfies.
  • Battery, charging: As confirmed by 3C, Galaxy A55 5G can be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and support 25W fast charging.
  • Galaxy A55 has also been confirmed to support 5G band.
The device was earlier spotted on Geekbench where the Exynos 1480 SoC showed remarkable performance. Renders of the device have also been leaked, showcasing the phone’s design. Samsung has yet to announce the launch date of the Galaxy A55, but with so many leaks, the launch is sure to happen soon.
